download resume (pdf)Alison Horvitz studied painting at Boston University, Rhode Island School of Design, and University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. She also participated in an Artist Residency at The Vermont Studio Center, in Johnson, VT. Horvitz has been awarded an Artist Stipend from the Massachusetts Cultural Council this year. Most recently, Horvitz’s work was included in a National Juried Exhibition at Northern Kentucky University, and The 1st Street Gallery, in NYC. Her paintings have also been selected for National Juried Shows at the Viridian Artists Gallery in NYC, the South Shore Art Center, in MA, and The Barrett Art Center, in Poughkeepsie, NY, as well as the Stamford Museum in Stamford CT. Alison has also had solo exhibitions at the Narrows Center For The Arts, in Fall River, MA and Gallery 401, in Providence Rhode Island. Horvitz’s work received Best In Show at the Attleboro Arts Museum in 2005.
